The Ronin is a full-face ballistic helmet built around a single idea: that head protection should not force a choice between coverage, weight and field of view. Designed, tooled and assembled in Japan since 2011.
Most full-face protection buys its coverage with weight and a compromised field of view. The Ronin distributes mass across a segmented aramid shell so load sits on the structure rather than the neck, and keeps the sight lines a shooter actually needs.

Every Ronin is an assembly of independently replaceable components. Damage a face plate and you replace a face plate, not the helmet.

Mass is carried by the back helmet panel and the inner suspension frame, moving the centre of gravity closer to the wearer's own axis.
Cheek plates, mandible, lenses, crown panel and ventilation are all separate parts. Swap, upgrade or omit them per role.
Every one of these is a problem someone met wearing something else. The Ronin exists because of them.
A micro jet fan sits inside each lens frame and moves air across the lens. The Flextech eye foam seals the rest out.
Twin crown fans pull the hot air out through the ducted top panel. Two hours of running on one 9 V battery.
The magnetic cheek plate is detachable. With it removed, your cheek rests directly on the rifle stock and you can aim.
You do not need one here. The back panel and the inner suspension frame carry the mass, so the centre of gravity sits near your own axis, and the load spreads through the frame instead of pressing down on the crown the way a traditional ballistic helmet does.
.44 Magnum SJHP at 1,430 ft/s: 11.39 mm. .357 SIG FMJ FN at 1,470 ft/s: 8.9 mm. Level IIIA, and it covers the face.
Every panel, frame and plate is its own part with its own price. Damage one and you replace one.
The lenses are ANSI Z87.1 and come out in seconds, in clear, smoked, high contrast yellow, high contrast red or marine blue.
It opens in half. The back helmet comes away and the front runs on the six-point buckle set as a mask.
The NVG shroud is part of the crown panel rather than a bracket stacked on top of it, so the optics sit low and on the helmet's own line.

Full-face coverage has meant handgun protection. We put UHMWPE armour on the Ronin frame, shot it with 5.56×45 NATO, and it stopped the round, with little deformation behind the armour, which is the number that decides whether a stop is survivable.
A proof of concept, not a certified product: one filmed test at a private range, not an accredited laboratory. It takes a hundred preorders to put it into production. Reach a hundred and we build it; fall short and every deposit goes back.
